Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Edgedar collects, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights in relation to it. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy laws including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

1 Who We Are

Edgedar Intelligence Ltd. ("Edgedar", "we", "us", "our") is the data controller responsible for personal data collected through the Edgedar platform and website.

2 Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

We do not collect sensitive personal data (such as government IDs, biometric data, or health information) and we do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18 years of age.

3 Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity — to provide the Service you have subscribed to;
  • Legitimate interests — to improve the Service, ensure security, and prevent fraud;
  • Consent — for marketing communications (you may withdraw consent at any time);
  • Legal obligation — where required by applicable law.

4 How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • Create and manage your account and deliver the Service;
  • Process subscription payments and issue invoices;
  • Send platform alerts, system notifications, and your daily intelligence digest;
  • Respond to your support requests and enquiries;
  • Monitor and improve platform performance and security;
  • Send marketing communications where you have opted in (you may opt out at any time);
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5 Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with trusted third parties only to the extent necessary to provide the Service:

  • Stripe — payment processing (card data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our servers);
  • Cloud Infrastructure Providers (e.g. Render, AWS) — hosting and data storage;
  • Email Service Providers — transactional and marketing email delivery;
  • Analytics Providers — aggregated, anonymised usage analytics;
  • Law Enforcement or Regulatory Authorities — where required by applicable law or a valid legal order.

All third-party providers are required to process personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws and our written data processing agreements.

6 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil our legal obligations:

  • Account data — retained for the duration of your subscription and for up to 12 months after account closure;
  • Billing records — retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations;
  • Usage logs — retained for up to 90 days;
  • Marketing data — retained until you withdraw consent.

Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, your data will be securely deleted or anonymised.

7 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations;
  • Restriction — request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances;
  • Portability — request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw consent to marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.

8 Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed password storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data and you transmit data to us at your own risk.

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by applicable law.

9 International Transfers

Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your country of residence, including the UAE, EU, and the United States. Where data is transferred outside of the EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

10 Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in our Cookies Policy.

11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
